Guanacaste, Costa Rica Casino and Hotel on the Pacific Coast

Guanacaste, Costa Rica Casino and Hotel on the Pacific Coast

The Hotel Flamingo Beach Resort’s Jazz Casino in Guanacaste, Costa Rica features four table games and you can play Canasta (Roulette), Rummy, Blackjack, Craps, Poker, and the Spanish card game Tute. The casino is open from 7 pm – 2 am.

While the Casino isn’t much to look at; just a few slot machines and a couple of table games, the hotel/resort is quite nice. A great Costa Rican band plays each night at the bar above the restaurant, and rumor has it there is a reggae band that performs on Thursday nights.

You might have to push at the bar to get the happy hour prices; for some reason the bartenders are reluctant to advertise it. Maybe they are pocketing Read more

New game at Marriott Casino in Panama City

A new electronic game has found on the floor of the Marriott Casino in Panama City. Located near the blackjack tables, the game is totally independently operated like many roulette games these days, however, the focus is on a set of three dice rolling around randomly. You are betting as to how many of each of the numbers 1 to 6 are going to show up at the end of “each roll”.

The largest odds payout is 150 to 1 which is achieved by rolling 3 of rolling 3 of the same numbers on the three different dice.  You can wager in 1 -2-5-10-25 units of 5 cents and the dice roll about every 1 1/2 minutes.  A fun Read more

Party Like the Locals in Panama City’s Fiesta Casino

The Thunderbird Resorts Group’s Gran Hotel Soloy’s Fiesta Casino in Panama City has a total of 193 gaming machines and six table games, but that isn’t what makes it stand out from the rest of the pack. What makes the Gran Hotel Soloy’s Fiesta Casino so great is the karaoke! The locals love it! They get up on the stage and sing and dance, some Spanish songs and some American songs, which makes it even more hilarious!

The crowd at the Fiesta Casino is looser and more laid-back than at other Casinos. Part of this has to do with the hotel’s location; it is located in Zona 4, and is very accessible for locals to come hang Read more
